Hospital Philosophy

We aim to be an indispensable hospital.

  1. We respond to the needs of the community by focusing on acute care, specialized medical care, and supporting patients' return to home care, providing optimal medical care in a timely manner.
  2. We strive to enhance medical technology, prioritize patient-centered care, ensure safety, and practice fair healthcare. We also work towards creating a hospital environment that supports the development of healthcare professionals.
  3. We contribute to the realization of better health for those who utilize our hospital services, the local community, and the well-being of our hospital staff."

Commentary

Hospitals are sustained by the connections they have with many individuals, including patients and their families who seek medical care, professionals from healthcare and caregiving facilities involved in collaboration, local residents who are active participants in community development along with the administration and welfare professionals driving these initiatives, and the hospital staff and their families. Each of these stakeholders holds diverse and overlapping perspectives and desires. To effectively address these concerns, we must approach our work with a broad perspective.

For patients and their families who utilize hospitals, the foremost priority is the quality of medical care. Providing "effective" healthcare in a "timely" and "efficient" manner is indispensable for optimal medical treatment. We strive to offer services that encompass "safety," "fairness," and a patient-centered approach, aiming for overall improvement in quality. We foster a multidisciplinary collaboration and train staff who can respect human rights, as they serve as the driving force behind this endeavor.

In today's healthcare and caregiving systems, which are built upon various collaborations, it is crucial for patients and users to receive medical care and support at the appropriate time and place. We not only establish a framework for healthcare provision but also provide comprehensive assistance that takes into account various aspects of life and well-being, including lifestyle and mental health, both during and after treatment. Furthermore, we deepen the essential information sharing required for effective collaboration.

Based on the philosophy of Health Promoting Hospital (HPH), to which our institution belongs, hospitals must engage with the local residents through their health promotion activities, jointly participate in community development, integrate into the community, and unearth the community's needs. In response to this, we work in collaboration with healthcare and caregiving facilities in the community, as well as with the administration, welfare professionals, and neighborhood associations, through the establishment of a "Health Friends Association."

For hospital staff and their families, it is natural for hospitals to provide a livelihood, and it is imperative for the hospital's management to be stable. Additionally, hospitals should serve as environments where each staff member can take pride in their role as healthcare professionals, finding fulfillment and personal growth. Creating a workplace environment that promotes both physical and mental well-being is essential to fully utilize each individual's capabilities. Thus, the hospital itself will continue to grow and mature to meet these needs.
